Welcome to xtwkrs.org
Welcome to xtwkrs.org. Founded in 2002, xtwkrs' is a place for ex-tweakers and recovered crystal meth addicts. Our social network consists of over 670 clean and sober people from whom crystal meth had become a problem.
We wish to be a conduit of information so, please share yourself and/or your organization with the rest of the world. As our mission is to spread the word, "...there is pride in recovery from crystal meth addiction," no matter if a person is a man or a woman, straight, gay, brown green or pink.

Founder of Crystal Meth Anonymous Died
*PRESS RELEASE June 28, 2008*
The founder of Crystal Meth Anonymous has died. William “Bill” John Coffey, Jr., founded the 12-step fellowship -- based on Alcoholics Anonymous -- as crystal meth use was exploding in Los Angeles. Seeing a need for a place where those suffering from crystal meth addiction could speak openly and freely about the unique devastation of the drug, he organized the first meeting in West Hollywood in September of 1994; twelve people attended. Crystal Meth Anonymous (CMA) now has 475 meetings throughout the country and around the world.

the 12-Step Fellowship
Have you ever asked, "What is a 12-step fellowship and/or 12-step program?" This question again resurfaced as a product of miss-information as there are two very different things. One peer to peer group calls CMA a 12-step program. Actually like AA and CA, CMA is a fellowship that promotes the 12-steps found in the big Book of "Alcoholics Anonymous". Fellowship meetings of AA, CA and CMA are not 12-step program meetings. They are meetings of those fellowships. Each meeting determines who and what they want to cover and/or do. Some fellowship meetings have strict formats, some allow crosstalk and discussion as the meeting proceeds. If someone tells you otherwise, they are miss-informed.
